A moment in time.

Painted in oils “Theo” (which means God’s gift) is an adult male Green Rosella endemic to Tasmania and the Bass Strait Islands.

This piece is a celebration of nature’s artistry.

Every detail, from the intricate feathers to the lush greenery, tells a story.

As an artist, I strive to convey the beauty of our avian friends through my work.

In this painting, I wanted to highlight the unique charm of the Rosella, showcasing its vivid colours and the delicate balance of its habitat.

The oils bring depth and richness, allowing the viewer to feel the essence of this beautiful bird.

Being a finalist in the Holmes Prize for Excellence in Realistic Australian Bird Art 2025 is an honour that fuels my passion even more.
