My obsession with painting Major Mitchell Cockatoos continues.  I have decided to aptly name this adoring couple “My Obsession” .

This painting is one of the many Major Mitchell Cockatoos I have enjoyed bringing to life in oils on canvas.

Named after one of Australia’s first explorers Major Mitchell Cockatoos or Pink Cockatoos are  considered one of the most beautiful of all Cockatoos.

Their stunning crest feathers and quirky, playful personalities have  awarded these magnificent birds “rock star status” within the cockatoo species.
