“Happy Feet” is doing the Happy Wrensday dance. This little wren is a member of my popular Happy Wrensday collection of Splendid Fairywrens.
Displaying between breeding season colors this little wren seems perfectly happy prancing along without a worry in the world.
Painting this little Blue Wren put a smile on my face every time I picked up the paint brush, so much so I had to play dancing music whilst having fun painting.
These cute little wrens are native to Australia. There are three different varieties of the Splendid Fairy Wrens. The matriarchy is run by one single female, the mother. Dad is the only breeding male, and the rest of the flock can contain upto six helpers. With all that assistance she has lots to dance about.
Thank you to wildlife photographer Mark Eatwell for graciously providing the reference photo for this painting.
